How to make Koicha (Thick tea)

Koicha is the richer and more concentrated version of matcha traditionally used in formal Japanese tea ceremonies. Koicha, or "thick tea," has a consistency closer to melted chocolate and is meant to be savoured in smaller quantities. You’ll need double the amount of matcha (2g) with less water (35ml), along with your bamboo whisk and matcha bowl.
